Join the Maine Alpaca Association on March 23, 2019 for a day of learning about alpaca fiber! SORTING. GRADING. BREEDING DECISIONS. Learn how to make all the right moves to improve your fiber and maximize profit for your farm business. National Speaker: CHERYL GEHLEY, AOA SENIOR JUDGE AND JUDGE TRAINER, FLEECE will be teaching this workshop! Cheryl Gehly has been judging alpaca fleece shows for 17 years, since becoming AOBA Certified in 2002. In addition to judging fleece shows, Cheryl has shared her immense knowledge with judges and apprentices across North America as an AOA Certified Instructor at Judge Training Clinics. Cheryl has also volunteered time with AOA as both member and chairperson of the Judge Training and Certification Committee, and the AOA Judge Advisory Committee. She is currently the fleece judge liaison to the AOA Show Rules Committee. Cheryl teaches at breeder seminars around the country, as well as judging multiple AOA Certified Fleece Shows annually.

Non-members cost for the workshop is 150.00. You may join the association for 50.00 a year and pay member rate of 75.00 for the workshop. Workhshop includes food for mid-morning light refreshmen, linch and afternoon snack. Bring an alpaca fleece if available, a skirting table if possible and a clamp light. Water will be available throughout the day. Please bring your reusable water containers.
