Drumming in gatherings creates space for connection to our inherent rhythm with the natural world, the self and each other. Drumming connects us to the pulse of life and our own heart beat. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to gather, express, and witness our vibration. Bring your own drum, rattle, rain maker, instrument, chime, bell, for example. Depending upon weather, season and conditions, we may meet around a bon fire or inside our healing arts space in the light and warmth of the wood stove and candle light. Dress in comfortable layers, bring a flash light, drinking water, a snack if needed. This is a drug, chem and alcohol-free gathering. Donations are welcome to support FourDirections Maine.org whose mission is improving the social and economic conditions of the 4 Native American tribes in Maine---The Maliseet, Micmac, Passamaquoddy, and Penobscot-through education and investment in affordable housing, tribal business ventures and Native entrepreneurship.
