Maine's Lakes & Mountains is closer than you imagined. The Maine Lakes and Mountains Region is a four-season destination that runs like a spine up the state's western border with New Hampshire to the west and the Canadian province of Québec to the north. Accessible from several exits on Interstate 95 with most southern parts of the region are within a short drive of Portland.
