Founded in 1919 and named in honor of Dr. Jonathan Y. Stanton, a professor at Bates College. A conservation organization provides stewardship for Thorncrag Nature Sanctuary, 372 acres, Woodbury Sanctuary, 160 acres, and Davis Santuary, 2 acres. Field trips and public programs.
