maine Wildlife Park

Maine’s well-known association with the great outdoors extends to conservation efforts and actively protecting the state’s wildlife species. However, the beloved and often furry woodland friends rarely cooperate with our wildlife-watching plans. Conservationists, tour groups, wildlife spotters, and families looking for a guaranteed photo op with some wildlife need look no further than the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray.

Game wardens and biologists from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife work together to rescue and rehabilitate these woodland creatures (of all sizes). They bring these animals to the park, providing them with safe, natural exhibits and specialized care administered by Park Gamekeepers. It’s an exciting chance for everyone to connect with nature and introduce kids to the incredible world that surrounds us in Maine.

Set in the southeastern corner of Maine’s Lakes and Mountains in the town of Gray, the park is a 25-30 ride from either the Naples Causeway, Lewiston/Auburn, or Portland; easily accessible from the Maine Turnpike.
