Lewiston-Auburn Balloon Festival

Watch the skies come alive during the 2026 Lewiston-Auburn Balloon Festival, held August 21–23 at Simard-Payne Park in Lewiston. This free, three-day celebration brings colorful hot air balloons, live entertainment, local food, Maine-made crafts, family activities, and community festivities to the banks of the Androscoggin River.

Weather permitting, balloons launch each morning and evening, creating spectacular views throughout Lewiston and Auburn. Visitors can also enjoy live music, a vendor fair, festival food supporting local nonprofits, the traditional parade across Great Falls, and plenty of activities for all ages.
